The Art of Listening, a powerful tool when creating gardens
The art of listening, a powerful tool when creating gardens
When was the last time someone listened to you – really listened to you? Quiet, uninterrupted listening. No questions. No advice. No comments. If you have experienced this, you know that something powerful happens.
The art of listening is one of my greatest assets in my work. Not only do I listen to people but to the landscape and gardens that I take on. This allows me to create gardens with a deep connection, where people grow and where I celebrate the landscape.
As we step into 2025, I start this year creating a 5000 sqm coastal garden in Saltsjöbaden, overlooking the Stockholm Archipelago, with the following philosophies behind my work;
🌿 Artistic – To portray gardens with understated beauty, yet as places that challenge our senses, with a rich and evocative interplay between aesthetics and the landscape. 🌿 Belonging – To create gardens with a deep connection, identity and integrity to be places that cultivates your sense of belonging. 🌿 Care – To create gardens where to nurture relationships, between people, wildlife and the wider environment. A garden to be ‘the room of life’ that enhances wellbeing and give back time and time again.
Your garden may be one of the most powerful places that you’ve ever visited, when you stop and absorb stories that it tells you. Listen to your garden and something powerful happens.
