The owners of this cedar wood house requested a garden that would fulfil the needs and desires of a busy young family, where functionality and simplicity was key, and where to create summer memories.

Wood decking gently stretches from the house, creating two separate units of the outdoor dining area and lounge area, overlooking the bay. A large outdoor kitchen serves useful all summer, with al fresco dining, breakfast and lunch spaces for the entire family and friends to enjoy.

The pool is located close to the property, a respite in the hidden part of the garden, with close proximity to the house, to keep an eye on children’s play and swim activity.

The lower part of the garden is kept simple, with a generous lawn, as priority for play and run barefoot in the grass.

Planting beds are kept light and delicate, to awaken the senses with gentle scent and touch as well as edibles for children to enjoy, wild strawberries in particular that produce fruit all summer.
