New Nordic Garden | Sjöbris

A garden created for an active couple who loves both the outdoors and gardening. The primary goal was to create a friendly garden with its own unique flavour, to suit the Nordic landscape and the couple’s lifestyle and to be enjoyed all seasons.

With the client’s love of a classic, yet light and relaxed seaside, white wood details is used throughout the space. Large planting beds allow for an abundance of colour including plants such as Salvia, Delphinium, Lavandula and Astrantia, appreciated by both people and wildlife. An array of blue, pink and purple flowers resonates with the sea and sky.

Gravel paths find their way in the garden, framing the planting, enticing anyone to stroll and observe the plants and wildlife, to contemplate or to sit down and rest on a bench. Apple- and cherry- trees are planted for a bountiful harvest, like you would in a classic Nordic garden, as well as a herb garden and a kitchen garden. A pool is placed in the sun drenched part of the garden, with views over the bay and to keep the tranquillity of the rest of the garden.
