On a narrow south facing hillside overlooking the Stockholm archipelago sits this intimate coastal garden, with a steep slope, a lawn and a private beach below.
Materials of cedar wood and slate withstanding the sometimes harsh climate are used to create inviting, liveable spaces, resonating with the cedar house and the nearby sea. The functional deck space connect the indoor and outdoor living spaces, with an outdoor fire place as a focal point, to prolong the summer evenings and late season gatherings.
A thoughtfully crafted retaining stone wall accentuates the space with its rustic appearance, and the vibrant plant composition is cohesive with blue, red and purple hues, including perennials such as Salvia, Geranium and Campanula.
